Learning materials

Online access to practice software

To improve the student experience of accessing the practice software, students will be allocated access to the online practice software, The software is online and easy to access. Students should use the new version instead of downloading the offline practice software. It is best practice to clear cookies and cache from the computer before accessing the practice software to ensure the most up to date content is used.

To access questions from the question banks, students should use the practice software. The student’s username is the letter Q + ICAEW student number i.e. Q1234567. The password is qb2022.

Electronic question bank

These are extra questions that are not included in the published question banks. They are provided in a Word document so you can create progress tests or mock exams. They are not exam-standard. Please refer to either the published question bank or mock exams below for exam-standard questions.

Mock exams

Mock exams are produced to set your students questions they do not already have access to. The mock exams are accessed via the practice software however, we also have the PDFs of the questions and answers available for download.

Online access to mock exams

As their tutor, you remain in charge of when students sit which mock exams. However, we hope distributing the online access information will be a more efficient process for you and your students.

To allow students to access mock exams in the online practice software, students should use the same link they use to access questions from the question banks. Their username is the letter M + ICAEW student number ie M1234567. There is a unique password allocated to each mock exam which we ask you to distribute to your students as and when you wish. Please see below for the 2023 passwords:
