Using data on beneficial ownership to manage AML risk in the UK and India

ICAEW is funding research by the University of Portsmouth investigating how accountants use information on beneficial ownership to manage money-laundering and terrorist-financing risk.

The study is led by Dr Paul Gilmour, with co-investigators Dr Durgesh Pandey, Dr Vibha Pandey and Mr William Wright, researchers based at the University of Portsmouth’s School of Criminology and 
Criminal Justice.

They are inviting practising accountants, members of the ICAEW or ICAI, or academics specialising in accountancy, economic crime or related fields to contribute to the research. 

Participation involves an online interview lasting up to 1 hour. Joining the study is entirely entirely voluntary and unpaid. If you would like to contribute, please complete the online form and a member of the research team will be in touch to arrange the next steps.
