The findings are based on telephone interviews with ICAEW Chartered Accountants that took place between 17 October to 16 December 2022.

Construction The Business Confidence Index is the weakest across all sectors. Energy Water & Mining Business Confidence Index remains negative. Manufacturing & Engineering Business Confidence Index slips further into negative territory. Retail & Wholesale Business Confidence Index drops sharply once again.
