As the Entertainment, Sport & Media Community continues to grow and evolve, we’re pleased to share some important updates to our advisory group—welcoming new members, celebrating a new appointment, and expressing our gratitude to those stepping down.
Congratulations to Graham Smith – our new Vice Chair
We’re delighted to announce that Graham Smith has agreed to take on the role of Vice Chair of the Entertainment, Sport & Media Community advisory group. Graham brings a breadth of experience from Gibson Alexander, where he guides and funds organisations in sport, entertainment, education and media
Graham’s insights and enthusiasm make him a fantastic addition to our leadership team. We look forward to working with him in this new capacity and continuing to build momentum across the sector.
Welcome to our new advisory group members
We’re pleased to welcome three new members to the group, each bringing valuable perspectives from across the entertainment, sport and media industries:
- Richard Spilsbury, involved with Fourth Floor Creative and Digitalbox PLC, brings expertise in finance, tech, and media—with a particular focus on digital transformation and business strategy.
- Tony Sutton, CEO of the Rugby Football League, joins with extensive experience in governance and sport operations, and a strong commitment to community engagement and development.
- Jonathan Harvey, is the Group Head of Financial Planning & Analysis at BBC Studios, where he has spent the past decade honing his expertise. He brings a wealth of experience and insight to the team, and we’re excited to collaborate with him as we move forward.
We’re excited to have Richard, Tony and Jonathan on board and look forward to their contributions.
Thank you and farewell to departing members
We also extend our sincere thanks to three outgoing advisory group members for their dedication and support:
- Jai Vora, Partner at SRLV, served as Chair of the Advisory Group and played a key leadership role over recent years. His deep understanding of financial advisory for creative businesses has helped shape the group's priorities. We offer our heartfelt thanks to Jai for his commitment and stewardship throughout his tenure.
- James Green, Finance Director at House Productions, brought his production finance expertise and strategic insight to the group’s work, drawing on his experience navigating the financial complexities of high-end scripted content.
- Marion Escobar Reina, Group Financial Controller at the BBC and formerly Finance Director at Warner Bros. and Time Warner, contributed her governance and financial expertise to the group’s work during a time of strategic development.
