Director reports
The ICAEW Library & Information Service can provide reports on the current and previous directorships held by an individual in UK & Irish companies. These reports can help you build up a picture of an individual's business history and help you assess their suitability as business partners.
The reports we produce are compiled using the FAME company information database from BvD using the details that you provide and the results are supplied by email as Excel spreadsheets.
We provide reports free of charge to ICAEW members and ACA students. This service is not available to members of the public.
What information does a report contain?
The reports contain the following information for each directorship identified through our search:

Company name and status

Information on each company where the individual is a current director or has been a director in the past:
- Company name
- Registered number
- Company status
- Turnover (last available year)
- Number of employees
- Number of directors

Director details

Information about the specified director:
- Full name
- Date of Birth
- Age
- Nationality
- Number of current directorships
- Address
Note about director’s addresses
The Companies Act 2006 removed the requirement for directors' home addresses to be made public by Companies House. Directors can choose instead to provide a different address for the service address that appears on the public record. Disqualified directors (only available for directors in the UK)

The following information is provided if the specified director has been disqualified in the UK:
- Disqualification start date
- Disqualification end date
- Section of the Company Directors Disqualification Act 1986 or Company Directors Disqualification (Northern Ireland) Order 2002 that the director has been disqualified under.
- Number of exemptions from disqualification
- Exemption from disqualification start date
- Exemption from disqualification end date

How to order
To request a search please complete the order form below. The enquiry team will use the information that you provide to locate any matches in the FAME company information database.
To help us, please supply the exact name of the individual that you want to check and any additional details that you know - such as their age, date of birth, gender or nationality.
If you are aware of any companies where the individual is known to be a director please enter this in the order form below.
