I am the managing partner of Smart Accounting and Tax Solutions LLP, a firm I began in 2010. I trained with a number of London practices, initially qualifying as a Chartered Certified Accountant. Having become a qualified accountant, I moved to a small practice in Surrey and then onto my father's practice McKenzies in Oxted, Surrey. At McKenzies I was initially a specialist auditor and client manager, and I took the CIOT exams.
In 2002 having completed my CTA, I joined Smith and William's Corporate Tax team in Guildford and joined the local branch committee of the CIOT. Subsequently I became Branch Chair, holding the role for four years in 2007.
Currently I Chair ICAEW's Croydon Tax Insights Group having been involved in the group for over 20-years. During this time, we have expanded in conjunction with the South-East London Area Society.
