Khuram is a Liverpool University Computer Science graduate with a master's in accounting and financial management from Lancaster University. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the West Midlands, gaining diverse experience in business compliance and taxation.
Khuram founded DKR in 2014, expanding it to 40 staff across three offices, specialising in Tax and Business Advisory. He also chaired the Worcester Group of Chartered Accountants, and his interests include start-ups, business advisory, and raising professional standards.
He has helped numerous businesses, including growing family firms to multimillion pound groups.
Khuram joined the Birmingham District Board, became chair in 2024, sits on the ICAEW regional strategy board, and is an active participant in ICAEW events. He is also a prominent social media user, sharing accounting and finance content.
