Richard is an independent director based in Oakville, Canada, and joined ICAEW Board in June 2024 after representing Canada on ICAEW Council.
He has over twenty years of senior governance experience, including roles at the University of Toronto, Halton Health Care, UTAM, and the Ontario Pension Board.
Richard retired from Deloitte in 2023 after a 34-year career, where he led the Financial Services Audit and Assurance Practice for Canada. He holds degrees and fellowships from Loughborough University, the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario, and ICAEW, and is an Institute of Corporate Directors designate.
