Biography

A born and bred Londoner, the foundations of George’s accountancy career were laid in the Midlands, where he trained with the East Midlands PwC office in Derbyshire, before moving to Rolls-Royce in Derby, in late 2015. George has recently started a new role as Business Manager (similar to Group FC) at Aero Gearbox International SAS, a JV-owned group of companies headquartered just outside Paris, France.

George is a graduate of the University of Leicester, where he studied physics, and is also a classically trained pianist having previously worked as a professional musician for a number of years prior to entering the world of accountancy.

George has had a long history of volunteer involvement in ICAEW, having previously served in the student society in Nottingham, and is the Immediate Past-President of Nottingham, Derby and Lincoln Society of Chartered Accountants.
