Biography

Onneile is one of the first Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA) graduates in Botswana, this being a historic event in accountancy.  She is also the first One Young World (OYW) Ambassador to represent ICAEW in Botswana in 2019.

She worked at Deloitte Botswana for a period of six years where she left as an Audit Supervisor.  She is currently works as a Finance Performance Analyst at Debswana Diamond Company (Pty) Ltd and specialises in Treasury and Financial Reporting.

She participants in the BICA local Accounting body committee in the Finance Risk and Audit Committee.  The mandate of the committee is to guide the local body among other roles on compliance of local companies in the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs).  She is an IFRS columnist to the BICA e-bulletin on technical accounting matters.

She has developed a keen interest in ensuring any professional partnerships that she is actively involved in strategies that meet the initiative on Sustainable Development Goals.  She is part of OYW's FinBiz2030 task force, which contributes to the mobilisation of sustainable development goals with the sub-group for sustainable development goal number 4 - Quality Education.  The task force collaborates with SAICA in South Africa and this collaboration helps with benchmarking, which will ultimately empower the accounting profession in Botswana.
