The Lifetime Wealth Planning Guide has been published to help identify opportunities for ICAEW Chartered Accountants and others to develop personal financial planning businesses. The guide also shows how the ICAEW Designated Professional (DPB) Licence can help professionals use a collaborative approach in this increasingly important and complex area.

The guide draws on the case study example of retiring small business owner, Peter Pickle, and his family. The collection of real-life financial planning scenarios illustrate how the trusted accountant can occupy the position of family personal finance director to help Peter and his family organise their financial affairs efficiently in anticipation of the sale of Peter’s business and his early retirement.
