Ethics and professional sceptism

During your career you will face ethical dilemmas. As a BFP holder we provide you with support in dealing with these situations and to help you to make the right decision. Our 'Practicing ethics' webinars offer you an opportunity to apply the principles in ICAEW's Code of Ethics, which BFP holders have to abide by and we provide a confidential helpline for additional advice.

Technical and ethics support

Whatever your technical or ethical query, ICAEW members, affiliates, ICAEW students and staff in eligible firms with member firm access can phone +44 (0)1908 248 250 for objective, confidential advice from the experts.

ICAEW Code of Ethics

ICAEW members are expected to demonstrate the highest standards of professional conduct and to take into consideration the public interest. Ethical behaviour plays a vital role in ensuring public trust in financial reporting and business practices and upholding the reputation of the accountancy profession.

Practising ethics webinars

These short webinars are aligned with the six modules of the ICAEW ethics learning programme. They are designed to help you practice applying the principles outlined in the programme and make you think, so no ‘answers’ are provided. Each webinar provides you with a worked example and then a series of scenarios which you can work through on your own or with others. Watching these webinars you should feel confident in making the right ethical decisions in the workplace.
