ICAEW member survey results

In the second half of 2024, as part of a comprehensive review of our membership, we invited all ICAEW members to take part in a survey on the perceived value and benefits you derive from your membership, as well as your opinions on future priorities for ICAEW. Completed by almost 6,000 of you (representing 4% of our contactable membership), this report summarises the analysis and results of that survey.

One of the most encouraging findings was that the more members interacted with us, the more satisfied they were with their ICAEW membership, so wherever you are in your career, whether you’re in business or practice, based in the UK or elsewhere, we encourage you all to explore the range of benefits you have access to as an ICAEW member.

You also told us:

• The prestige and status of the ACA qualification are the most valued benefits of membership.
• You look to ICAEW for professional development and support, including that beyond technical and regulatory updates.
• Technology, automation and generative AI represent the primary opportunities and challenges for the profession.
• You want to see improvements in the relevance of our communications and the performance of key interfaces.
• Even if you don’t have time for a volunteer role with us, you want to be able to provide feedback on the issues of the day.

The publication of these results is not the end of the conversation, we want to continue hearing from you whether you’re currently engaged or not.
