ICAEW’s Financial Services Faculty has published an issues paper which explores the actions the financial services sector must take to build long term confidence.
This issues paper has been developed as part of the ICAEW Financial Services Faculty’s thought leadership programme Inspiring Confidence in Financial Services. It summarises various ways in which financial markets currently appear to be failing, or at least not working as well as they should, and proposes that financial services providers work together to implement market-based solutions to these challenges. It is intended to be provocative and to stimulate debate on complex issues. It also suggests a range of practical measures that can be taken, primarily by the financial services sector, to address problems it faces.
