Details of previous events

The last event was held in November 2008 at Chartered Accountants Hall, London.

The event, sponsored by TM Lewin, gave female undergraduates and postgraduates an insight into the diverse and rewarding career of chartered accountancy.

Teams of students battled out a business case study to compete for a winning prize and participated in skills sessions on assertiveness and leadership. Guest speaker Lesley Everett gave an informative presentation on personal branding and attendees received a free copy of her best-selling book Walking TALL which has featured in national press including Marie Clare.

A panel of successful ACA’s formed post lunch to answer student questions in an honest and frank forum related to their career progression as women in the workplace.

Female undergraduates networked with representatives from leading ACA training organisations including BDO Stoy Hayward, KPMG, PwC, Deloitte, Reeves and Neylan, Hays Macintyre, National Audit Office and SWATuk, as well as current and recent trainees. Undergraduate Charlotte Richards from Manchester University won a two-piece suit courtesy of TM Lewin.
