New Faculty Chairman

At the IT Faculty Committee meeting on May 7 2009, the committee elected John Oates as the new Chairman of the Faculty for the next two years. John takes over from Jonathan Teller who has held the post for the last four years.

John is currently IT advisory services partner at Baker Tilly. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte Haskins and Sells in Liverpool before transferring to the Computer Audit department to work on computer interrogation and systems analysis. He started work with Baker Tilly in 1986. John is also a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management. He has been Chairman of the IT Faculty Technical Committee for the past nine years.

Nina Robinson, who runs a consultancy service advising SME's on their IT, becomes deputy chairman.

George Quigley, partner at BDO Stoy Hayward, has taken over as chairman of the Technical Committee, having served on the committee for the past five years.
