Charles is now retired after spending more than 20 years working for Atkins Holdings Limited, a private property investment company.
He trained with Coopers and Lybrand (as was) in Sheffield, staying in the profession for around 10 years before moving into industry working in the construction and pharmaceuticals sectors, including one role as a senior accountant in a LSE listed company.
