James is Deputy Chair of Policy (deputy leader) for the City of London Corporation, a non-executive director of the Serious Fraud Office, UK Finance and Strat Homes, a board member of the City of London Police Authority (former Chair), and the City Bridge Foundation.
James has had a broad business career spanning over 35 years serving as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Executive and latterly Chairman. He trained as a chartered accountant with PwC, before 10 years in financial services, including three years advising Nelson Mandela's, ANC-led Government of National Unity. The last 25 years have been in industry.
