Peter Hollis is a chartered accountant and has been in practice as a sole practitioner in Sheffield since 1990. He acts for a wide range of principally owner-managed businesses, individuals and charities.
He has chaired the ICAEW General Practitioner Panel and Practice Committee, served six years on the Institute’s Technical Strategy Board, and 11 years on ICAEW Council. He is passionate about helping practitioners operate efficient and effective practices and ensuring that regulation is proportionate and scalable.
Previously Peter was an audit manager at Hawsons, a large local firm of chartered accountants where he mainly dealt with listed companies. He has served as a committee member and President of the Sheffield & District Society of Chartered Accountants, a member of the Court of the University of Sheffield, and as Treasurer of South Yorkshire Community Foundation.
Peter currently sits as a technical adviser to the IFAC SMPAG.
