Peter Wyman CBE was appointed as ICAEW’s first independently selected Chair of the Board in 2023.
In October 2023, he was appointed to lead the Independent Review into the Quality Assurance and Policy Processes relating to the national school's funding formula.
Since leaving PwC in 2010, where he had been a partner and a member of the Global Executive, Peter has held a portfolio of non-executive appointments spanning the private, public and third sectors, including currently as Chair of NHS Blood and Transplant and an Independent Non-Executive Director of Pay.UK. He is also a trustee of The Fairfield Charitable Trust.
Peter has also been a passionate advocate for the accountancy profession and ICAEW his entire working life, including as a member of ICAEW Council from 1991 to 2009 and ICAEW President in 2002-2003. He was awarded a CBE in the 2006 Queen’s Birthday Honours for services to the accountancy profession.
