The 2021 Social Mobility Employer Index has been released, to recognise organisations for their efforts to increase diversity. Several accountancy firms were named on the list.
Responding to the index, Michael Izza, ICAEW Chief Executive, said:
“Congratulations to the organisations named in this year’s Social Mobility Employer Index. I’m delighted to see several accountancy firms on the list, including three in the top ten. The accountancy profession must be as diverse and inclusive as possible to ensure we maintain wide perspectives when problem-solving and developing new ideas. It is therefore good to see firms being recognised for taking positive action to increase representation of people from different backgrounds.”
