ICAEW Northern Ireland confirm new Board appointments

Following a successful launch event held in April, ICAEW is delighted to announce a series of board appointments for its Northern Ireland network.
Justin Kyriakou, ICAEW Regional Director, said “We are very pleased to confirm the new appointments for the ICAEW Northern Ireland board. Bernard, Caroline and Sarah-Jayne have been incredibly enthusiastic, and we are really excited to be working with them. By working together with our volunteers, we will ensure that ICAEW members living and working in Northern Ireland have have the opportunity to have their say and be recognised for the part they play as leading figures in its economy.”

Bernard O’Hara has been appointed Chair with Caroline Keenan appointed as Deputy Chair and Sarah-Jayne Guy as Vice Chair.

Bernard is a Director at KPMG and leads its Managed Solutions team in Northern Ireland

Speaking of his appointment, Bernard commented, ‘I am delighted to have been appointed as the first chair of Board for ICAEW in Northern Ireland. ICAEW members have long played a significant role in supporting the Northern Ireland economy and our wider society and we are keen to ensure that the unique opportunities and challenges are properly understood and represented locally, nationally and internationally. We look forward to engaging with other stakeholders in Northern Ireland to achieve that’.

Caroline Keenan, leads the tax practice at ASM Chartered Accountants in Belfast.

Caroline commented, “I am very much looking forward to volunteering for and representing ICAEW to ensure that issues of particular relevance to Northern Ireland businesses are highlighted and fully represented. There has never been a more critical time to ensure that Northern Ireland as a region maximises all potential opportunities for growth – and the ICAEW members in Northern Ireland are committed to helping achieve that aim. “

Taking on the role of Vice Chair, Sarah-Jayne Hunniford, Group Finance Director of The Mount Charles Group, said: “I'm really excited about this opportunity to represent our members in Northern Ireland, and I’m looking forward to providing opportunities for our members to support them in their careers.”
