Biography
Shamshad has served on ICAEW's Board since June 2024 and is a member of the Investment Committee and the Risk Committee.
He is an experienced Senior Advisor to companies and private equity investors, supporting M&A, transformation and other strategic projects.
Until October 2023 he was the Chief Transformation and Strategy Officer of Vanquis Banking Group Plc and a member of the Group Executive Committee. Prior to that, he spent 22 years at PwC, initially as an auditor in the UK Banking and Capital Markets practice. He was admitted to the UK partnership in 2008 and spent over a decade as a partner in PwC's UK Deals Practice, focused on advising private equity investors and large listed corporations on strategic growth (M&A, takeover bids, IPOs etc), exit planning and restructuring (carveout, disposals, cost out).
