Biography

Anthony is a partner at BDO's corporate reporting technical team supporting the work of his firm's audit practice.  He leads a 20 strong team of technical experts reviewing the annual reports of listed audit entities, and providing technical support, guidance and tools.

Before re-joining BDO in 2020, Anthony was the Director of Accounting and Reporting Policy at the Financial Reporting Council, leading its development of accounting standards and reporting guidance, including the Strategic Report, and working with Government departments on the development of relevant legislation.  He led the UK's influencing of he IASB and sat on EFRAG's Technical Expert Group.

He is the Chair of the ICAEW Corporate Reporting Faculty Board and sits on the ICAEW Financial Reporting Committee.

Anthony is the Chair of BDO Global IFRS Policy Committee and its Sustainability Reporting Policy Committee, which together oversee the development of the network's technical positions on international accounting standards and sustainability reporting standards issued by the ISSB an EFRAG.
