Martin was appointed as the Senior Partner at Kingston Smith on 1 May 2016. He leads an exceptional team, ably supported by a strong Executive Board and is committed to seeing the firm flourish; meeting its business objectives as it implements its five-year growth strategy.

Clients often comment that Martin has a solution for any problem. His broad knowledge of all types of taxation and his vast understanding of the range of issues that businesses face enable him to recommend an appropriate solution to virtually any scenario his clients are confronted with. Martin is regarded as a trusted adviser and sounding board.

Martin draws on his deep knowledge, 30 years’ experience and understanding of business to advise clients on a wide range of audit, accountancy, tax and corporate finance issues. From SMEs to multi-national companies, he works with a wide range of clients in property, retail and professional services, as well as stockbrokers, international traders and charitable organisations.

Experienced in guiding businesses through sale, acquisition and restructuring processes, Martin works closely with our specialist tax and corporate finance teams to provide clients with advice tailored to their needs and situation.

Martin is also chairman of the ETM Group of restaurants and bars and sits on the Court of the Worshipful Company of Horners, a trustee of the Horners Charitable Trust, where he is also Chairman of the General Charitable Committee and the Livery Committee. In addition, Martin is Treasurer of Whitstable Yacht Club and a member of the Academy of Experts.

In his spare time, Martin enjoys music, restaurants, sailing, fishing and shooting. As a keen cyclist, he participates in several charitable bike rides each year.
