Biography
I am a graduate of the University of Essex and have a BA in Economics.
I established my career in accounting at top 20 firm, Mazars, where I became a partner based in the City. Training within Mazars meant I gained considerable experience in audit (mostly in the London insurance market). I was involved in various internal projects within Mazars both within the UK and internationally. These projects in the 1990’s were primarily focussed on the progression and deployment of audit automation technology.
As my real passion and interest meant I was always drawn towards entrepreneurial advisory services. Over time I then became increasingly involved with the development of SME management consultancy services with Mazars. Ultimately this meant that my career took me further and further away from PIE and SME audit and I concluded I would move away from Mazars to progress this area. Ultimately this led me to become involved in the buyout of several of the Vantis offices in 2010; the St Albans office then became WMT Chartered Accountants where I was Client Partner and Managing Partner. Since this time, I have overseen the growth of the practice and the firm now employs over 70 staff across two central locations in St Albans and London and is recognised as a leading provider in serving the London restaurant and hospitality sector.
As well as overseeing the day-to-day running of the practice, I am a corporate finance specialist and is actively involved as the client partner for many of the owner-managed businesses and international groups.
As well as my WMT role, I am a Director of CharterGroup Alliance- a leading network of independent chartered accountants across the UK.
