About us

The society was formed in 1882 and serves more than 6,000 members in Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire and parts of the Black Country.

The society’s members come from accountancy practices small and large and from a range of business, public sector and Third Sector interests. The district society is deeply engaged in the development of the local economy and regards the promotion of the profession – especially among students – as a crucial part of its work.

It also acts as a link between the ICAEW in Moorgate Place and members in the district.

Support for younger members and students

BCAG, Birmingham Chartered Accountants Group, is a Birmingham based social organisation for newly qualified chartered accountants. 

BCASS has been in existence for over 125 years and continues to provide all trainee accountants in the Birmingham area with support and networking opportunities through a variety of activities.
