LSCA 150th Anniversary
The London Society of Chartered Accountant held its 150th anniversary on April the 20th 2021.
May 2021
The London Society of Chartered Accountants (LSCA), which traces its roots back to 1871, had its 150th anniversary on 18 April 2021. We marked the milestone with a virtual event on Tuesday 20 April, attended by 75 people. I was delighted to host this occasion, at which we were addressed by distinguished speakers, including ICAEW President David Matthews and Dame Teresa Graham, who was the first female chairman of the LSCA in 1994-95. ICAEW Chief Executive Michael Izza was also in attendance. Everyone shared a toast to the Society’s past, present and future.
As well as celebrating our anniversary, the event was an opportunity to launch a souvenir booklet, which contained contributions from many past Presidents and Chairmen. This booklet will be available to members at real life events later in the year. If you would like a copy before then, please email patrick.mcelroy@icaew.com with your name and postal address.
