Shelah has specialised in the health care sector for over 20 years. She was formerly a hospital clinician and general practitioner. Her particular expertise is the development of strategic change programmes and improvement of organisational efficiency. For IMS she aims to find new ways to sustain and extend the participation of members and support the wider role of chartered accountants. Shelah is also an ICAEW Support Member. |

Carl is a tax specialist, author and presenter. He aims to support the work of ICAEW in Scotland and to engage with as many members in Scotland as possible in his roles as committee member and as elected Council member for Scotland. Carl is a past Chair of the Tax Faculty and a former member of the ICAEW Board. |

David has retired after a career with KPMG, with Cambridge University and with the Scottish Government. He has represented ICAEW Scotland on various consultative panels and at seminars. He represents retired ICAEW members in Scotland while also maintaining an interest in public sector issues. |

Alongside the ‘day job’ she is a pro-bono Board member of three charities including CABA, for whom she chairs the investment committee. One of her aims for IMS is to raise awareness among finance professionals at all stages of their careers of the benefits of trusteeship. | ||

Chris is an experienced audit partner, with wide ranging experience he now specialises in financial services and in particular the asset management sector. As well as external audit Chris supports his clients on regulatory change, controls and governance and he leads BDO’s financial services team in Scotland after 20 years split between KPMG and PwC. As a Welsh ex-pat in Scotland since 2006, Chris splits his time between Glasgow and Edinburgh having trained in Cardiff and moved to Glasgow after a stint in Canada. Chris will bring perspectives from practice and the financial services sector as well as encouraging wider engagement. |

Marizah joined academia after being trained as a Chartered Accountant. She founded Responsible FinTech Research Group and leads a core module on MSc FinTech programme at the University of Bradford. Armed with corporate experience, she bridges academia and practice through her active engagements in research, publication, professional and charitable activities. She is completing a research monograph on “Cryptocurrency Risk and Governance Challenges” during her Visiting Fellowship at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). | ||

Stephen is a technical accounting subject matter expert for Clearwater Analytics, based out of its Edinburgh office.Stephen is an Alliance Manchester Business School graduate, with a wide variety of post-qualifying business experience. After qualifying, Stephen worked in the commercial sector in a variety of FP&A and financial control roles, including time in corporate finance and acquisitions, before moving into the financial services sector. Stephen is looking to bring his enthusiasm for all things FinTech and accounting geekery to the benefit of members in Scotland. |

Previously, Head of Finance at NWH Group, Our Power Energy Supply Limited and Finance Manager at Energy Assets Group plc. Paul has a strong interest in sustainability, social mobility and diversity. For ICAEW Scotland, he is looking forward to raising the profile of members in Scotland and increasing engagement of students and younger members. | ||

Melanie is a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Tax Adviser, author, presenter and ethical entrepreneur with businesses operating within practice, training, education and creative industries. Melanie is a former president of ICAEW Scotland, committee member of ICAEW and CIOT Scotland and leads the newly formed sub-committee of ICAEW TAX Faculty focusing on Scottish Taxes. Representing and educating members and society regarding key taxation developments, policy and future direction of taxation, including specific Scottish Taxation aspects are core interests. |

She is currently a Tax Assistant Manager at Mazars and specialises in providing both corporate and employment tax advice to privately owned businesses. Abbie aims to support the community for younger members and students of ICAEW in Scotland. |
