Several HMRC services will be unavailable from Friday 23 June to Monday 26 June 2023. This will affect some online services available to taxpayers and agents, as well as HMRC contact centre staff.

This coming weekend, HMRC is moving one of its largest systems, the national insurance and PAYE service (NPS), to a cloud platform. This means that all services that use NPS will be unavailable from 11:30 on Friday 23 June to 09:00 on Monday 26 June.

The Tax Faculty understands that the following personal tax account services will be unavailable during the closure:

HMRC helpline staff will also be unable to access these services during the closure. This means that some helplines will be unavailable on the afternoon of Friday 23 June, including the Agent Dedicated Line, the National Insurance helpline and the PAYE helpline. For other helplines relating to tax for individuals, HMRC advisers may only be able to provide general advice.
