Roles

Qualified person responsible for training (QPRT) The QPRT manages the delivery of ACA training with an organisation and is the main point of contact with ICAEW. Counsellor The role of counsellor usually exists in mid-sized or larger organisations. They support the QPRT with reviewing training files. ACA student manager The role of ACA student manager usually exists in HR or L&D teams in larger organisations. They support the administration and monitoring of ACA training. Authorised Training Principal If you are not funding your students' training, you will be registered as an Authorised Training Principal. Instead of a QPRT, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of ACA training.
Person responsible for training (PRT) The role of the Person Responsible for Training (PRT) is equivalent to a QPRT and only exists in a subsidiary office within a training group.

Training standards

Training standards To remain as an Authorised Training Employer or Principal, you must consistently meet and follow our training standards. Review visits You will receive a visit from us at least once every three years where we will review and monitor your compliance with our training standards.
