Andreas graduated from the University of Nottingham with a BSc (Hons) in Finance, Accounting and Management degree. He is currently a consultant in the Financial Advisory Services department in Deloitte Cyprus while studying towards the ACA qualification. He is involved in major valuations and financial modelling engagements for clients in various industries.
I’ve been with ICAEW for over four years, working on a variety of projects aimed at inspiring and supporting future chartered accountants, and anyone interested in finance, business and accounting. I love finding innovative ways to help people at different stages in their life develop their professional skills and follow a career they’re passionate about.
Started the ICAEW journey as a CFAB student in 2015 and sat for the case study (last paper) in August 2019. Currently working full time as an audit senior in Ernst & Young in the oil and gas sector and on runs the ICAEW Malaysia Student Network (IMSN) as the president.
Before her current role, Bonnie was an Executive Director of Advisory at BDO where she led various advisory engagements in areas of Corporate Finance and Transaction, Risk Advisory, Corporate Recovery, Restructuring and Forensic. She has over 18 years of Financial Advisory and Audit experience.
In his role Daniel is responsible for overseeing product strategy for all accounting and tax programmes. This means ensuring programmes are of the highest standard and keep pace with technology and best educational practice. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with EY and has experience in finance, management and HR, including a stint as Executive Director at Goldman Sachs.
Edward is an FCA (ICAEW) with 16 years’ experience in governance, risk and internal audit. After obtaining a BSc in Chemistry, Edward’s career started in London with Grant Thornton, where he trained under an ACA contract. After qualifying, Edward moved to KPMG to work for the Audit Committee Institute and onwards to a Head of Audit role at a UK-based Western European distribution company.
Fraser leads the British Council's International Education Services work across China and East Asia. In his role he supports UK education providers with their international work across the region, delivering bespoke marketing and research services to grow their brand, recruit students, develop international partnerships and manage alumni relationships. Fraser currently divides his time between Kyoto and Beijing.
Chris was appointed Dean and the Chief Academic Officer of British University Vietnam in 2010 and has been active within the Board of BBGV for 9 years, he was National Vice Chair for 2 years and elected Chair in 2019. Based in Hanoi he is Board Member of the Vietnam Business Forum and his interest range from education, charity to advocacy.
Teaching is his second passion after accounting and teaches various internal and external courses. He is currently an ACA student and CPA candidate in Bulgaria and in his free time practices yoga, writes articles, cycles and reads books
Hien Vo is a Director with Alvarez & Marsal's Transaction Advisory Group in London. He specialises in financial due diligence for corporate and private equity clients. With 12 years of professional experience, Mr Vo has advised clients across a range of industries including, inter alia, leisure, education, software, and business services. Prior to joining A&M, Mr Vo was in the Transaction Service team at EY and KPMG. He started his accountancy career with PwC in Audit. Mr Vo earned a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from The London School of Economics. He is a qualified chartered accountant, and a Knox prize winner and a member of the ICAEW since 2011.
Hai Doan is a newly ACA qualified. He holds Bachelor Degree in Accounting from School of Accounting and Auditing, National Economics University in Vietnam. He has more than 5 years experience in financial audit across Southeast Asia, including Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore. Hai is currently an Audit Senior at Deloitte LLP, Singapore. With this role, he manages the audit team to perform interim and year end audit of clients, both public and private, in various industries and areas.
Hoa is currently a senior manager in the financial advisory service practice of Deloitte Asia Pacific. Hoa accumulates 10 year experience working in Europe and Asia Pacific in both audit and financial advisory. She advises foreign investors and large local corporations on market entry research, mergers and acquisitions and general advisory. Hoa covers a wide range of sectors such as retail, pharmaceuticals, energy, manufacturing as well as hospitality.
Iris Goh has more than 20 years of solid working experience in areas such as Human Resources, Corporate secretarial and as an educator specialising in Human Resources Modules. Iris holds an MBA majoring in Human Resource Management, a BBA majoring in Finance and a post-graduate certificate from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, UK.

He currently serves as Chief Financial Officer for the Saudi British Bank where he has led the Finance and Treasury Operations units through its ongoing public merger with Alawwal Bank since 2016. With over 20 years of international experience in financial services, mostly gained in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, India, Japan and Saudi Arabia, where he served in a number of senior finance leadership roles in HSBC across retail, private, wholesale and investment banking, as well as insurance, and asset management. He is a Chartered Accountant and member of the ICAEW.
Mark has been the Regional Director, South-East Asia since 2009, and he took over the Greater China portfolio in 2019. He leads all ICAEW activities across ASEAN and is focused on building out the brand across all markets in the region. After qualifying as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant in 1990, Mark worked in a variety of industry verticals in the Telecoms sector for multi-national, national and start-up companies.
Michael joined ICAEW in July 2014 as our Regional Director for Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA). Prior to joining ICAEW, Michael spent 35 years with KPMG. He joined KPMG in London in 1978 and qualified as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant in 1982. Michael has more than 25 years of experience working in the Middle East. He was appointed as Partner in 1988. He served as Partner in Charge of KPMG's practice in Oman.
Michael Ho Wan Kau graduated from the University of Cambridge with a BA in Natural Sciences and is an ICAEW member since 1995. He is currently a licensed Auditor in the Assurance Line of Service and the Human Capital Partner in PwC Mauritius. Michael has always stayed in practice after joining the profession in 1990 and became an Assurance Partner in 2007. He has developed special interest in financial reporting and internal audit. In his more recent role as Human Capital Partner, he has implemented wellness programs to encourage staff to have a balanced lifestyle amidst the challenges of increasing client demands and rapid changes in the profession.

Stephen was appointed Chief Executive of the ISE in June 2013 following seven years as Head of Graduate Recruitment UK & Ireland at Ernst & Young, one of the largest recruiters of graduates in the UK. Prior to EY, Stephen managed graduate recruitment and development programmes at PwC and Safeway as well as working in the public sector where he developed and managed a number of careers related programmes. Stephen has extensive experience in the recruitment and development of students, both graduates and school leavers.
Stuart Pedley-Smith is a qualified accountant who has spent much of his career in professional education. As Kaplan’s Head of Learning he is responsible for the companies learning strategy, promotion of best practice and in supporting a culture that will deliver excellent student outcomes. Stuart's interest in learning started in the mid-90s when he first began teaching accountancy students, something he continues to do. This insight together with experience gained within Kaplan and its evidence-based approach led to the publication of his book on examinations and continues to inspire his monthly blog.
My name is Stoyan Karasanov. I graduated London School of Economics and political science. Now I live and work in Sofia, Bulgaria. I am accountant and tax advisor. I established my own small practice a few years ago and currently manage a team of five people. I started the ACA qualification, because it will help me develop professionally and will give more credibility to the services we provide. After graduating in Psychology, from the University of Warwick, she pursued a career in Chartered Accountancy with BDO Binder Hamlyn. Sylvia was born and raised in Manila, the Philippines. She has stayed in Singapore since her family moved in 2006, and in January 2019, completed her undergraduate studies in Singapore Management University, School of Accountancy. Sylvia is currently completing her ACA qualification and works in PwC Singapore’s General Assurance department as an associate, specialising in the real estate industry. During the March 2019 Financial Accounting and Reporting exam, she was awarded Global Joint First Place and the Spicer and Pegler prize. She is the second ACA student to have achieved a global prize. Sylvia is fluent in English, Mandarin, Hokkien and Tagalog.
Takis is an ICAEW member (ACA) while also graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Management and an MSc in Corporate Finance both from Cass Business School in London. He has recently joined one of the largest retail furniture companies in Cyprus as a 3rd generation family member. He is involved in various projects such as improving the customer service experience, optimizing company’s operations as well as the digital transformation of the company.
Tan Wei Jian is a full-fledged ICAEW chartered accountant and is currently a venture capitalist with Kairous Capital specialising in early-stage investments across China, Malaysia, and Vietnam. At Kairous Capital, he predominantly focuses on appraising investment opportunities within the eCommerce, fintech and HR tech verticals. Prior to joining Kairous Capital, Wei Jian was operating within the internal audit function across the Financial Services industry, first with AmBank Malaysia covering its Personal and Commercial Banking business; and more recently with the Royal Bank of Canada covering its Capital Markets and Treasury Services businesses across Asia-Pacific. Wei Jian has been an ICAEW member since 2018, and is also currently the Qualified Person Responsible for Training (QPRT) for Kairous Capital.
After completing a degree in History and Sociology at the University of Exeter Tanya went on to qualify as a chartered accountant (ICAEW) in 2003 working in the fields of audit and corporate finance. She joined Kaplan’s Manchester office in 2004 as a tutor specialising in management accounting, business strategy and financial management. In 2009 Tanya was involved in the set up of the Live Online division in Kaplan taking on the role of operations manager and going on to lead the division. Tanya now heads up Kaplan’s Global Accountancy initiative and manages the international markets teams for both Kaplan Financial and Kaplan Publishing.
