Business Marketing Association
US organisation for business marketing and communications professionals. The web site includes articles, surveys and market research although membership is required for full access to some resources.
Chartered Institute of Marketing
The world's largest professional marketing institute. Provides membership, qualifications and training.
Data & Marketing Association
Formerly the Direct Marketing Association, a UK organisation for members involved in the direct marketing field. The site provides research, reports, best practice and how to guides, most of which are only available to DMA members.
Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing
UK institute for the professional development of direct and digital marketers, offering practitioner-taught training courses and professional marketing qualifications. Now part of the DMA.
Institute of Practitioners in Advertising
Professional body for practitioners in advertising and marketing communications.
The Marketing Society is a professional network of senior marketers which provides the opportunity to share best practice and grow skills. Largely a members only site.
Telephone Preference Service
Details of the central register, managed by the Direct Marketing Association, of those who do not wish to receive unsolicited sales and marketing telephone calls. Businesses and organisations must screen against the list before making such calls. A Mailing Preference Service and Fax Preference Service are also in operation
