Opportunities at schools
Students are now making careers decisions earlier than ever. ICAEW are working with schools across the country to ensure students receive the information they need, to make educated career choices. If there is a particular school you want to volunteer with, please let us know so we can arrange this for you.
What activities do we do?
The student recruitment team typically engage with students in years 11,12 and 13. You’ll be supporting the ICAEW team with various events and presentations, giving the students some gentle encouragement and top tips so they can get the most from the session.
Ready for workStudents are introduced to every day work place scenarios, and asked how they would respond in that particular situation. These sessions really bring to life what it is like to transition from education to employment and provide a good understanding of what will expected of them when they start their career.
These events give students an opportunity to boost their ability to analyse situations from a business perspective and recognise what makes an organisation successful. Students are required to consider, develop and apply their current awareness.
Careers fairs and presentations
Members who volunteer at careers fairs are able to provide crucial first-hand experience to students. You’ll be on hand to answer questions and explain why every student should be considering a career as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant.
We are also able to arrange for members to go into school to deliver presentations about their career and experience of the ACA. We’ll be able to provide you with a branded slide deck for you to personalise for your presentation.
