During 2027, ICAEW’s Quality Assurance Department will include a random sample of IPs (both members and non-members) within our CPD monitoring programme.
We will look at:
- whether you have assigned yourself to the correct CPD category;
- your CPD records to 31 October 2026 (or to your firm’s CPD year-end);
- whether your CPD is relevant; and
- whether you have met the minimum number of hours (including the one-hour mandatory ethics training).
Note your CPD activity will not be reviewed via an insolvency monitoring review. This is because CPD monitoring has been a separate process since ICAEW’s CPD Regulations were updated in 2023.
The following ICAEW resources will help you understand our requirements:
- Continuing professional development requirements explained
- Double check your CPD category
- CPD Monitoring Insights webinar recording
