Insights on key changes to deliverables

Shaping and strengthening organisational culture can have a positive impact on audit quality. The FRC shares some helpful ideas and examples of good practice relating to people and processes.

Corporate culture is increasingly on the agenda of organisations of all sizes and types, including audit firms. UK audit regulator the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has been considering the potential impacts of organisational culture for some years (see FRC outputs and observations). In June 2021, it hosted a virtual international ‘Culture Conference’ to explore the link between culture and high-quality audit.

For five days, academics, other regulators and experts on culture from a wide range of sectors were brought together by the FRC to share experiences, ideas and good practice with professional auditors and others from the audit firm ecosystem and beyond. A conference summary document is available and the five conference sessions (each 90 minutes long) are all available as recordings (see below).
