Preparing for auditing in 2021

Are auditors ready for 2021? Louise Sharp of ICAEW offers some insights into what will be coming up in audit and how to prepare.

No one could have predicted 2020 and many are still reeling from the shock. Yet, as 2020 drew to a close (which some may argue can’t come quickly enough), auditors were facing one of the most challenging busy seasons in their professional careers – and their clients need them to keep these efforts up throughout 2021.

The good news is that, having successfully navigated 2020, auditors should have the skills and tools to help them do this – and they will not be alone. The faculty will be there each step of the way, to keep members up to date with new audit and assurance developments.
