Sir Jon Thompson Chief Executive, FRC

Prior to joining the FRC Jon was the CEO of HMRC and before that Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence. Jon has had a lengthy finance career including as Director General, Finance at the MoD, Director General, Corporate Services at the Department for Education and Finance Director of Ofsted. Before joining the Civil Service he held roles in the public and corporate sectors.

Jake Green
Jake Green Partner, KPMG

Jake Green is an accounting technical partner at KPMG LLP. Jake advises the firm and its audited entities on a wide range of financial reporting topics, dealing with both UK GAAP and IFRS. Jake is currently chair of the ICAEW’s Financial Reporting Committee and has also sat on the IFRS Advisory Council, the joint IASB and FASB Revenue Transition Resource Group, and the IFRS Interpretations Committee.

Danielle Stewart
Danielle Stewart OBE Partner, RSM

Danielle is Head of Financial Reporting at RSM and is deeply involved in the on-going development of Financial Reporting in the UK and globally. She is a founding member of the Financial Reporting Council’s UK GAAP Advisory Panel, a member of the BEIS Corporate Disclosures External Stakeholder Group and of the CCAB Technical Partners group. Danielle is also a long standing and active member of ICAEW’s Financial Reporting Faculty’s Financial Reporting Committee. In 2013, Danielle received an OBE for services to accountancy and business.

Mei Ashelford
Mei Ashelford Director of Reporting Intelligence, Gather

Mei is the Director of reporting intelligence at Gather, where she advises FTSE and AIM listed clients on the ever-evolving regulatory landscape in corporate governance, reporting and sustainability; helping them craft annual reports that tell their story whilst being compliant and striving for best practice. Earlier this year, Mei was appointed to the FRC’s Advisory Panel and the ICAEW’s Financial Reporting Faculty Board. Mei is a chartered accountant with over 20 years of technical reporting experience, which includes over six years as a Project director at the Financial Reporting Council.

Mark Edmondson
Mark Edmondson FCA Chief Executive Officer, Inflo

Mark has spent his career developing technology solutions that empower accounting firms and evolve the audit process. Having started on PwC’s fast-track program, Mark earned his stripes as a practicing accountant leading audit and consulting engagements. He is the founder of Inflo after he spotted the opportunity to make innovative technology solutions accessible to accounting firms of all sizes.

Robbie Cruikshanks
Robbie Cruikshanks Research Assistant, Gather

Robbie is a Research assistant at Gather, where he undertakes research and analysis to support senior consultants in corporate reporting, digital communications, and sustainability. With a master's degree in Computer Science and Philosophy, his range of research experience has been applied to a variety of projects, from detailed analysis of FTSE 350 reporting to planning digital engagement for non-profits. Robbie has a qualification in Sustainability Business Management from the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership and produces practical guides on sustainability frameworks such as TCFD and ESEF.

James Ferris
James Ferris Head of UK Auditing Standards, FRC

James is the FRC’s Director for UK Auditing and Assurance Standards. His portfolio, as the lead for the UK part of the Audit and Assurance Policy Team, includes the FRC’s Ethical Standard. The team were responsible for recent revisions to ISA (UK) 240. Prior to this, James was a Project Director in the Audit and Assurance Policy team for approximately 4 years, having joined the FRC from the National Audit Office where he was a Financial Audit Director.

Isabelle Campbell
Isabelle Campbell Trainer, CABA

Isabelle is a consultant, trainer and coach. Having obtained her ACA with a Big 4 firm, Isabelle has worked in demanding finance roles for more than 10 years and understands the impact of both work and personal challenges on health, happiness and balance. Isabelle is passionate about helping others achieve work/life balance, build resilience and increase inner peace.

Lord Callanan
Lord Callanan Minister for Business, Energy and Corporate Responsibility

Lord Callanan was appointed Parliamentary Under Secretary of Statement at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) in February 2020. His responsibilities include leading on BEIS business in the House of Lords, corporate governance and responsibility, and audit, including the Financial Reporting Council. With a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical and electronic engineering, he worked as a project engineer at Scottish and Newcastle breweries from 1986 to 1998 before being elected to the European Parliament in 1999. Callanan was created a Life Peer in 2014.

Veronic Poole
Veronica Poole Partner, Deloitte

Veronica is a Senior Accounting Technical Partner at Deloitte. She is the DTTL Global IFRS Leader and UK National Head of Accounting and Corporate Reporting. In addition, she is a member of both the DTTL Global and UK Audit Quality Boards. Veronica is a member of the UK FRC Corporate Reporting Council, HM Treasury Financial Reporting Advisory Board (FRAB) and the Hundred Group of UK Finance Directors Financial Reporting Committee. She is also chair of the ICAEW Financial Reporting Faculty Advisory Board.

Paul Lee
Paul Lee Member of the UK Endorsement Board

Paul is Head of Stewardship and Sustainable Investment Strategy and investment consultancy Redington, charged with helping its clients - particularly pension funds - deliver on their intentions to incorporate climate change and other ESG (environmental, social and governance) factors into their investment approaches and expectations of their fund managers. Paul is also a member of the UK Endorsement Board, responsible for agreeing the adoption of IFRS standards into the UK. In 2019, Paul was a member of the secretariat for the Brydon Review.

Lyn Provost
Lyn Provost Member of the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board

Lyn is a public member of the IAASB and chair of the Extended External Reporting task force. She is a Chartered Accountant and Life Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Lyn was Controller and Auditor General of New Zealand and prior to that was Deputy Commissioner of Police. Currently she sits on a number of governance and advisory boards.

Sandra Latner
Sandra Latner Senior Director of Sustainability and ESG Investor Engagement, Pearson

Sandra brings 15 years of experience in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issue management, stakeholder engagement, and impact reporting. Sandra’s professional mission is to integrate sustainability into core business strategies, and prior to joining Pearson, she has worked in Finance, Mining and the Food and Agriculture sector. She has a personal interest in impact investing, and believes in the power of education to build a more equitable and sustainable future.

Naomi Rigby
Naomi Rigby ESG Assurance, PwC

Naomi is a Chartered Accountant and ICAEW FCA who specialises in ESG and leads PwC’s ESG reporting and assurance team in the South East, UK. She has extensive experience of ESG measurement, reporting and assurance and is passionate about helping companies to better understand the long-term value they create. She is an alumni of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development’s (WBCSD) Future Leaders Programme, has worked at the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and is a climate scientist by background, having led research projects in the Arctic circle.

David Wray
David Wray Global Accounting & Reporting Senior Director, Huawei

David has held finance executive roles in the technology and telecommunication industry for 25 years. He is a transformation expert, sharing his views on governance, organisational impact, change management, digitization and large-scale transformation. He is the author of several articles and a book, and has lectured for many years discussing topics on Complex Accounting concepts, ESG & Impact Management as well as Transformational Change.

Mike Bowman
Mike Bowman Chief Commercial Officer, Inflo

With 22 years’ experience in sales, and over 10 specifically in SaaS, Mike is an expert in supporting the transformation journey that firms and networks are taking to incorporate new technologies into traditional working practices. Mike dedicates his time to working closely with firms to recognise the many benefits technology will bring, while understanding the implementation challenges that they will face and ensuring that Inflo supports them throughout with a first-class Customer Success Team.

Sam Kerr
Sam Kerr Regional Account Manager, UK

Sam has worked with Auditors and Accounting Firms for the last 5 years to drive efficiencies across their audit teams. Sam advises Audit firms how best to utilise technology to streamline their Bank Confirmation process as well as delivering training to Auditors. He has previously spoke at ICAEW events, typically on topics surrounding the use and uptake of technology in accountancy practices and the effect this is having on the wider accountancy market.

Zoi Therapou
Zoi Therapou Commercial Director, EMEA

Zoi has been with Confirmation for almost 6 years now and has more than 10 years of experience in the financial services industry. She was instrumental in building Confirmation’s European presence, and is now working with the teams across EMEA and APAC to help drive the expansion in these regions. She has also been involved in keeping Confirmation up to speed with new market developments, and is focusing on new product launches, such as Open Banking.
