Effective business partnering: past, present and future webcast

What can a 1963 lecture on the finance function teach us about being a business partner today? Perhaps a lot more than you would expect! Join us to discuss a different perspective on how to contribute more to your business.

50 Years ago Stanley Harding, FCA and Deputy Controller at Shell, who had wide ranging international experience, gave a visionary lecture exploring how the finance function can contribute to business productivity.

ICAEW’s Stephen Ibbotson, Head of Finance and Management and Rick Payne, who leads ICAEW’s Finance Direction Programme, will explore how the lessons from the lecture can be put into practice today and help us think about the future. Gavin Donaldson, Director Financial Management Advisory Services practice at KPMG will also be contributing to the discussion, drawing on his expertise and practical experience in helping finance departments develop business partnering capabilities.
