When the pandemic struck last year, many employees were ill-prepared for the enforced move to working from home and the separation from their colleagues and familiar office routine. A year on, it’s clear that the move gave many of them more freedom and flexibility in terms of how and when they work, making it easier to fit work around family and other care responsibilities, enabling them to improve their work-life balance.
