Gavin Stewart, Director in Grant Thornton’s Financial Services Group, considers what areas of financial regulation might warrant legislative review post the COVID-19 pandemic.

What have we learned so far from the regulators’ responses to the Covid-19 crisis? 

In regulatory terms, we are still in the foothills of the crisis, so many of their actions to date have been temporary, from postponed consultations to time-limited mortgage holidays and debt payment freezes.
