The Treasury Select Committee heard from the head of the FCA about the government efforts to fund businesses through the coronavirus pandemic. John Mongelard, ICAEW Technical Manager, Risk and Regulation, covers conduct insights taken from the hearing.
The government and the Bank of England have introduced three lending support schemes for businesses which together cover 80% of UK turnover and employers.
But business lending is not explicitly regulated.
