Bank Resolution: Speech by Sir Dave Ramsden, Deputy Governor Bank of England
Brought to you by the ICAEW Financial Services Faculty, Dave Ramsden will make his first speech on bank resolution since taking over responsibility for this area just over one year ago, followed by a Q&A
Resolution is a major part of the post-financial crisis regulatory architecture and comes at a key time in the regime’s progression to maturity. Deputy Governor Sir Dave Ramsden will look to share some of his reflections on the development of the domestic UK framework and the Bank’s role in international policy-making and co-ordination.
He will also discuss the implementation of the Resolvability Assessment Framework. This is the last major piece of the UK’s bank resolution regime which introduces fundamental changes in the way banks approach their preparations for the range of unpredictable and challenging issues a resolution involves.
