How best to educate financial services about climate change?
The Financial Services Faculty is helping to integrate nature-related financial risks into insurers’, banks’ and asset managers’ business models.
The Natural Capital Coalition has developed a protocol that provides organisations with a framework that helps them identify their nature-related risks, opportunities and dependencies and put a value on resources. All this should be part of the business-as-usual risk management of firms. The Coalition has also developed supplements and training materials to help consider sector specific circumstances.
The We Value Nature Project is a 3-year Horizon 2020 project to promote the uptake of the protocol. ICAEW Financial Services Faculty is providing support for the promotion of the finance sector supplement and develop training materials specific to financial services organisations.
