What does the future hold for the financial services industry? ICAEW gathered together influential stakeholders to answer this question at the "Do Banks work?" event 30 November 2015.

The “Do Banks Work?” event on 30 November 2015 marked the 5th anniversary of our ground-breaking report Audit of banks: lessons from the crisis. The report sought to identify the actions that banks, auditors and other parties could take to strengthen the banking system without the need for legislative or regulatory changes.

Confidence is vital in banking, but trust in banks has yet to fully recover from the financial crisis. New technologies and changing society expectations could have far-reaching implications for banks’ business models.
Our debate, focused the future of banking, was held in the historic Royal Institution of Great Britain and chaired by Linda Yueh.
