Central banks reserve managers are concerned that rising interest rates pose the biggest threat to their performance over the next year.
The US Federal Reserve is expected to raise rates three times this year, and the European Central Bank is set to follow suit around mid-2019. Rates are currently at historically low levels.
In a poll of reserve managers at 79 central banks conducted by Central Banking Publications and HSBC, just over three-quarters of respondents thought rising interest rates would be the biggest threat
