ICAEW’s Practice team is proud to announce the launch of the newly updated Practice Resources Hub. This significant upgrade comes as part of our continued commitment to improving your experience on icaew.com, making it more intuitive to find the content that matters to you most.

The practice area of the website has now undergone a major transformation. Whether you're starting a new practice, running or growing an existing one, or planning your exit strategy, the refreshed webpages are designed to help you locate the support you need quickly and efficiently.

What’s new?

The pages are now organised into the following categories:

  • Starting a practice: Thinking about launching your own firm? You’ll find step-by-step guidance on setting up your business, from compliance and legal considerations to building your client base and marketing effectively.
  • Running and growing a practice: Already in practice? Find comprehensive resources to help you manage, expand and enhance your practice.
  • Exiting a practice: Planning for succession or thinking about retirement? This area offers support on planning your exit, including selling your practice, valuing your business, and ensuring a smooth transition for your clients and team.
  • In addition, technical content and guidance is now arranged by service line offering, so you can quickly locate resources specific to your area of expertise, whether that’s audit and assurance, tax, corporate finance, business advisory or another discipline.

Practice resources, events and communities

The revamped webpages continue to provide access to our extensive range of practice-focused resources such as the Bloomsbury Accounting and Tax Service, events, webinars, and CPD opportunities, ensuring you stay up to date with regulatory changes and trends in the profession.

You’ll also find a link to our Small Practitioner Community resources, providing support for sole practitioners and smaller firms, together with links to all ICAEW Faculties and Communities.

Our monthly practice newsletter, PracticeWire remains the best way to stay informed of the latest developments, upcoming events, and content relevant to your practice needs. If you aren’t signed up to receive PracticeWire, you can do this via the ICAEW member preference centre.
