Frank Haskew, Head of the Tax Faculty, reports on recent developments at the Tax Faculty.

The holiday season is now at an end, but it was, nevertheless, a very busy period.

As part of ICAEW’s Virtually Live event, I chaired a round table discussion on tax policy in a post-COVID-19 world. We were delighted to be joined by the Rt Hon Jesse Norman MP, Financial Secretary to the Treasury, who gave an opening speech and took part in the Q&A panel session that followed. We were joined on the panel by Cerys Mcdonald, Director of Tax Strategy at HMRC, and Jane McCormick, Global Head of Tax at KPMG. Many thanks to both of them for joining us. We were pleased to see that the minister’s speech was later published on gov.uk
