Byte size: Tech news round-up

Pet’s names for passwords; the growth of Bluetooth technology; a new charter promoting responsible use of location data; why CEOs are concerned about cyber security; the rise of cyber breach attempts; and a look at the UK government’s draft trust framework on managing digital identities.

The UK government has published a draft trust framework for organisations to follow when managing digital identities. It includes principles, policies, procedures and standards governing the use of digital identity, which allows for the sharing of information to check people’s identities or personal details, such as a user’s address or age, in a trusted and consistent way. This is designed to enable interoperability and increase public confidence.

The trust framework has been opened to a public survey and further work will be done before it is brought into law. For more information, go to their website.
