Annual Reception 2023

On Thursday 9 November, the Corporate Finance Faculty held it’s 2023 Annual Reception; an evening of celebration, knowledge-sharing, and invaluable networking opportunities.

2022 Corporate Finance Faculty Annual Review

2022 saw a return to more normal levels of M&A and investment. The continuing war in Ukraine and its impact on inflation and interest rates, along with a period of political and economic turbulence in the UK, resulted in a more cautious approach from investors.

25th Anniversary Reception

ICAEW’s Corporate Finance Faculty hosted its 25th Anniversary Reception at Mansion House, home and office of the Lord Mayor of the City of London, on 22 February 2023.

Board and Technical Committee Members

The Corporate Finance Faculty Board advises the executive staff at ICAEW and contributes to setting the strategic direction for the faculty. The Technical Committee is the Corporate Finance Faculty's technical and regulatory advisory forum.

Faculty member organisations

The Corporate Finance Faculty’s professional network includes close to 10,000 members and more than 80 member organisations. More than 40 per cent of the faculty’s membership is from beyond ICAEW.

National Security and Investment Bill: comments and insights

National Security and Investment

The National Security and Investment Act 2021 strengthens the government’s powers to call in and scrutinise transactions on grounds of national security. The legislation commenced on 4 January 2022. The ‘call-in power’ may be used in relation to transactions that took place on or after 12 November 2020.

Launched in 2014 by ICAEW and the British Business Bank, the Business Finance Guide helps entrepreneurs and companies to find the finance they need to invest, grow and overcome adversity. With a tool to help businesses identify what finance solutions might be suitable, as well as overviews of what the options offer and support on how to secure finance.
